The Ramakrishna Ashram in Cuttack was taken over by Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math and was declared as a sub-center of Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar with its distinctive name of 'Ramakrishna Mission, Cuttack' on 11th November 2016 with Swami Bhubaneswarananda as the monk-in-charge. It officially became an independent branch of 'Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math' on 1st April 2018 with Swami Akinchanananda as its Secretary. At present Swami Jivanathananda has been deputed to this center to assist the Secretary.
